Compliance
Ofcom rules, written as code.
UK cold calling has rules on abandoned calls, ring time, and who you may call. This page lists each one and what the dialler does about it.
No abandoned calls
The dialler is progressive: one line, one call, with you already on it when the prospect answers.
Parallel dialling, where several numbers ring at once and the first to answer gets you, is how abandoned calls happen. It isn't in the product.
A ringing call is given time to be answered
The minimum ring time is 15 seconds, enforced on the server. If you press hang up early, the button refuses and counts down.
A call that ends before the minimum anyway, because a tab was closed, is written to the record with a compliance flag.
Do not call lists
Press 0 on a call and the contact is blocked, their number is added to your suppression list, and no later session can dial them.
Upload your own do not call list, by number, email, or company domain, and the same block applies. The card greys the dial button and says why before you ever press it.
Redials and cool-offs
The same contact cannot be redialled within five minutes without an explicit override, which is logged. Not interested starts a ninety-day cool-off.
TPS and CTPS
Screen your list against the Telephone Preference Service and the Corporate TPS before you import it, and mark the clear contacts as clear. Any contact marked as listed can't be dialled.
Built-in screening against a licensed feed is on the roadmap, not in the product today. I'd rather say that plainly than imply otherwise.
Recordings
Recording starts when the prospect answers and is kept in your workspace. UK law allows a business to record its own calls for business purposes with notice.
You're responsible for the notice. The product gives you the recording, the duration, and the audit trail.
Your data
Every call, event, outcome, and note is a row you can export. Nothing is sold, shared, or used to train anything.
If Ofcom changes a rule, I'll change the code and update this page.
